orld of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade will introduce a lot of new features to expand the game in many interesting and fun ways. One of these additions is the introduction of a new profession: jewelcrafting. We have just released a brand-new page where you can get detailed information on the jewelcrafting profession and a first look at a related feature that will be introduced in The Burning Crusade: socketed items.
Jewelcrafters learn the art of creating beautiful jewelry and trinkets from metals and rare gems. By processing the raw ore mined from the various deposits and mineral veins, jewelcrafters can extract gems from the ore to use for their craft. Although miners sometimes find gems while gathering ore, jewelcrafters mostly rely on their prospecting skills to get more of the precious stones.
Check out our page on jewelcrafting to learn more about this new feature of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, and also make sure to try out the interactive item-socketing preview!

On the Horizon |
 |
hile the upcoming cross-realm Battlegrounds will step up the intense action in the dedicated PvP instances, the next patch will also spark conflicts in some new PvP hotbeds in different regions of Azeroth. These new world-based PvP objectives will pit Horde and Alliance against each other in epic battles for control over rare resources and strategic positions. So watch your back, conserve potions, and never try to pull a fast one on a rogue!
Speaking of Azeroth's stealthy killers, they're next in the ongoing class talent review. This means that rogue players can expect some interesting changes and improvements to help their characters perform even better in their role as shadowy assassins and remorseless fighters.
